The Architectural Design Computing (MBL) Graduate Program, operating under the Istanbul Technical University Graduate School, is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
The MBL Program commenced in the 2000-2001 academic year under the Istanbul Technical University Institute of Science and Technology. The program aims to educate graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills at the intersection of architecture and computing, integrating computational design approaches with creative practices. Research in fields such as artificial intelligence, design modeling, virtual environments, digital fabrication and interaction technologies, and data processing constitute significant components of this knowledge base. The program’s primary goal is to provide comprehensive knowledge on information technologies and computational support systems to address design problems and advance architectural practice. Currently, the MBL Program offers both Master’s and Ph.D. level education.
To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the ITU MBL Program (https://mbl.itu.edu.tr/), an event is planned to be held on April 22, 2025, at the Taşkışla Campus of the Faculty of Architecture. The event will include a panel where academics and architects will discuss future projections of architectural design education and practice. Additionally, insights from students and alumni will be shared and evaluated.
Participation is open to all; however, registration is kindly requested by April 15, 2025, via the following link: https://forms.gle/Nr822PoXk3P7eHKy6
